One day: Buckingham Palace and Westminster
If the State Rooms are open on your dates, book that entry first. Leave time on either side for St James’s Park and the surrounding royal streets. If interiors are closed, choose an exterior walk knowingly and put your paid interior visit elsewhere.
A slower day: Kensington Palace and the gardens
Choose a palace entry time that leaves you unhurried park time. A separate afternoon tea can make a pleasant addition, but allow for walking between venues and verify where it takes place. The word Kensington does not guarantee that tea is served inside the palace.
A second day: choose Windsor or Hampton Court
Give one out-of-centre destination the day. Compare an independent journey with a transfer product, using your hotel as the starting point. For a multi-stop coach tour, check how long you actually get inside each paid attraction.
Before you confirm the itinerary
Check closures and admission inclusions, then the meeting point and cancellation policy. Keep security checks and walking time outside the headline tour duration. If accessibility is important, ask the operator about the actual route rather than relying on a general venue label.
